Zeleny dom is located in the village of Zavazna Poruba –7km from the town of Liptovsky Mikulas-, inside the National Park Nizke Tatry. It is very close to a number of tourist hot spots. The ski resort Opalisko, the Aquapark Tatralandia, the thermal spa Besenova, the artificial lake Liptovska Mara and also the village of Liptovsky Jan and its spa facilities are no more than a short drive away.
Accommodation
Very pleasant accommodation is being offered throughout the year. The two storey guest house is ideal for the family that wants to spent a relaxing holiday. At the same time it serves the more adventurous, who will use it for their rest after long treks and cycling trips in the summer or skiing in winter. Its very conveniently located for the hill tracks of Opalisko and Jasna, as well as of Malino Brdo in Ruzomberok.
Accommodation is offered for up to 12 people.
On the first floor there is one fully equipped bathroom, bedroom that can sleep 3 people and has view to the garden. On the second floor there are 2 bedrooms. Both can accommodate 4 people in comfort. All bedrooms have wardrobes and a sitting area.
The main sitting room is on the second floor and has a tv. If you wish to stretch out a bit, a ping-pong table is situated in the garden.
Parking is free in courtyard.

Liptov region is in the north of Slovakia. It is located in the area of two national parks. Liptov is surrounded by the Velka Fatra mountain range from the south west, It has the Low Tatras to the south, and the Chocske vrchy mountains and West Tatras to the north. Vah, the longest Slovak river passes through the region. The Liptovska Mara artificial lake is in the central part of the Liptov Valley.
Due to its natural location, Zavazna Poruba has become an all year round holiday resort.
During the summer season, it offers numerous hiking trails, opportunities for cyclo-tourism and water sports. 500m from house are tennis courts that provide full facilities and equipment. In the village it is the ski centre Opalisko, which offers 3 slopes for downhill skiing a 400m, an 800m and a 300m children slope.
The 400m slope offers all the possible facilities, including artificial snow for the rare occasion that nature does not cooperate…It also has lighting which offer the possibility of night skiing. You can enjoy ski-alpinism, snowboarding, cross country trails, toboggan trail and also a natural skating ring. There is also a ski school for adults and children and you can also rent all necessary ski and sport equipment.
Liptovsky Mikulas
Liptovsky Mikulas city is located 7 km from Zavazna Poruba. In the city you can find three main shopping centers Hypernova, Kaufland and Billa, which are open until 10pm. There is a closed swimming pool, a sport stadium, tennis courts, cinemas, fitness, internet clubs, night clubs, museums, galleries, churches, a synagogue and other attractions.
Liptovsky Jan – thermal spa
Liptovsky Jan is located 9 km from Zavazna Poruba. It is famous for its charming nature, kars formations and termal spas. The latter are highly recommended medical purposes. There is a natural thermal spa and also a closed swimming pool that benefits from thermal mineral water.
Aquapark Tatralandia
Located 14 km from Zavazna Poruba. It is the biggest all year round water center of fun and relaxation in Slovakia, Czech republic and Poland. The complex offers 16 steam, water and massage spas and saunas and all the related treatments.
Liptovska Mara
In summer months, the Liptovská Mara is the best known recreation centre. Bathing, windsurfing, yachting, take windsurfing lessons, rowing, water bicycles, minigolf, fishing, or take a cruise on the 80 seater sightseeing boat Liptov – all of these activities can be arranged at the campsite in Liptovský Trnovec on the northern shore of the reservoir.
Havranok
This is an archeological site near Havránok on the top of Úložisko by the reservoir of Liptovská Mara. A settlement from the early Iron Age (300-100 BC)was discovered here.
Besenova – thermal spa
There are 6 bathing pools here that are open year round. The geo-thermal springs reach a temperature of up to 61°C. The temperature of the water in the pools is 36-40°C and wells up from a depth of 1,987 m. It has beneficial effects on the kinetic and breathing systems, urologic problems and has favourable cosmetic effects, and thanks to the lithium content has positive effects on the psyche.
Vlkolinec
The pure wooden built village of Vlkolínec has been a memorial reservation of folk architecture since 1977 and in December 1993 was entered into the records of the World Natural and Cultural Heritage UNESCO.
The first written records date from 1376 as a street in the town of Ružomberok. It was created as a settlement for woodcutters or charcoal burners. It is the only village in the whole of Slovakia that has not been tainted with any new buildings. A prominent feature of the village is the wooden bell tower.
